Microsoft Surface Go

Microsoft Surface Go

If you are looking for a tablet that is ultra portable and still has the capability of handling task of a laptop, you may want take a look at the new Surface Go by Microsoft. 00 LvL had the chance of getting early access to this beauty and here is the run down.

Surface Go-2608 The new Surface Go is the baby brother of the Surface Pro that many got to love back in 2015. It is smaller, thinner, lighter, and still runs Windows 10 Home in S mode. Although the operating system starts off in S mode, you do have the option to switch to full Windows 10 Home with an option to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro. The Surface Go gets its power from a Pentium processor which will give you the power to run many popular Windows programs while on the go. It did seem to run smooth and handle programs great.

The Surface Go comes in 2 RAM/Memory options, 4GB/64GB and 8GB/128GB with the option to extend the memory with a micro SD card. This gives you an idea on which programs and apps you will be able to run with no problem. In addition to expansion, the Surface Go gets the USB type-C port. This allows you to output video, receive data, and charge the device. This helps because you just need one cable to do everything.

The overall feel of the Surface Go felt great as well. It was really light but did not feel cheap. The touch screen felt good and wasn’t to sensitive. The Surface Go also still has it’s signature pop out stand like the Surface Pro, which is very useful on flat surfaces. If you want the full experience of an laptop, you can add on the magnetic keyboard, pen, and even a separate mouse at additional cost.
